Story -

Parmanu movie is the story of nuclear bomb testing exercise of India. In 1995, IAS officer Ashwath Raina (John Abraham) suggested that India should become a nuclear state before China and Pakistan to hold its position in nuclear race. But unfortunately the first nuclear test fails due to international pressure from America. After that in 1998, Ashwath Raina gets another chance for nuclear test at the regime of PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This movie has shown how Indian officers perform nuclear testing secretly avoiding world’s close watch especially by America.

Parmanu movie is based on a real story and this event is very important for India. It’s important because after Pokhran II nuclear tests in 1998, India become nuclear power country among world.  This movie has shown how Indian offices took the challenge and successfully beat the American intelligence and surveillance to complete the mission secretly. It also shows Indian scientific achievement. Movie’s base location is Pokhran, Rajasthan.

John Abraham has played leading role of an IAS officer who actually conducted the whole mission with the help of his crew members. No doubt John has done excellent job in this movie. In supporting roles like, Anuja Sathe as a John’s wife and Boman Irani as the Secretary to the Indian PM, also have shown their great acting skills. Other actors like crew members of John’s team also have done good job.

This movie has shown how Indian officers perform nuclear testing secretly avoiding world’s close watch especially by America. So, naturally there must be lots of suspense and excitements. Screenplay, script design and editing work able to maintain this suspense. Audience  feel excited while watching how Indian officers and army persons successfully complete the mission by beating American satellite’s surveillance and spies from America & Pakistan.

Parmanu movie is full of thrill, drama, patriotism and emotions. Apart from some flaws, movie is quire entertaining.
